Engaines Primary School and Nursery Curriculum Intent
Autumn 2023/2024
At Engaines Primary School and Nursery we continually develop our school curriculum to ensure that we offer challenge and widen children’s understanding to pave the way for future learning.
In the classroom, children experience a broad and balanced curriculum which is driven by our school CHERISH values of Resilience, Inquisitiveness, Confidence and Empathy. We ask these questions:
- Are our children able to embrace challenges and learn from mistakes?
- Can our children ask meaningful questions about their learning?
- Do our children approach learning experiences with courage and tenacity?
- Are our children respectful and understanding of others?
In order to ensure the children in our mixed year group classes access equitable curriculum coverage, we have some rolling curriculum projects. All subjects are Carefully mapped to ensure full coverage across the key stage.
